R&D AERONAUTICS LTD rised from ELAN Slovenia based on more than 40 years of experience in the composite industry. Once started as a research and developing company, today R&D AERONAUTICS LTD. is fully capable of developing, producing and maintaining a range of fiber-composite aircraft and yachts components.
Mario Markov is the founder of R&D. Born in 1976, he is a man with a passionate love for aviation. His journey began at the Air Defense Military Academy in Bulgaria, where he focused on rocket control systems, aerodynamic air-to-air missiles, and the development of UAVs. After graduating, he served in the Bulgarian Air Force, gaining valuable experience as a systems engineer for aerodynamic air-to-air missiles. His expertise made him a NATO Reserve officer in 2007.
A turning point in his career was his time as a project manager at AMS Flight (https://www.ams-flight.si/) in Slovenia, followed by his role as a research and development engineer for UAVs at the SPACE RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY INSTITUTE in Bulgaria.
In 2008, he became a project manager and design engineer for composite gliders at MCA AIRCRAFT INDUSTRIES Ltd. This responsibility eventually led him to PEGASUS d.o.o in Slovenia, where he worked in aerodynamics and structural consultancy, also handling EASA certification issues.
His international experience ultimately brought him to ADCOM SYSTEMS in the United Arab Emirates, where he served as an engineer for aerodynamic design and composite consultancy, as well as a project manager.
Since 2014, Mario Markov has been leading his own company, R&D AERONAUTICS Ltd, as CEO. His passion and commitment to innovation have made him a pioneer in the aviation industry.
